How do they do it??
A common misconception about biometric fingerprint technology is that imagery is stored but it's just not true. Instead, discrete points within the print are identified and stored as data.
It only takes between 16 and 25 of these data points, called minutiae, to uniquely define a print--and the individual who owns it.
the gateway to a world of secure identification and information processing is as close as a fingertip. literally.
The portable Allegis Secure ID Biometric Reader with index fingerprint technology is a secure key to open doors in the field for all types of functionalities including the Allegis Technologies' suite of products.
The reader allows for mobile ID verification and complete data entry. The information is sent and retrieved via satellite uplink and/or broadband connection to a highly secure data server utilizing a "Tier One" level of security and encryption.
The reader can register the identity, personal data, and financial and/or medical history of new individuals and authenticate the identity of those already in the secure database. Registration and identification can now take place anywhere, no matter how remote the location.
Secure ID may be used by organizations as a means to identify individual recipients of micro-loans linking them to their appropriate fund sources. Multiple accounts or 'Wallets' may be configured allowing access (draw and repayment) to different funding sources with unique access logic and authorization rules.
When used in conjunction with Allegis Technologies' Personal Health Record (PHR), an individual's medical information and history are securely stored and available for recall by authorized healthcare providers in the field, and may also be used by health and humanitarian organizations for statistical and demographic analysis and disease prevention measures.
Secure ID Advantages include:
- Completely portable/Battery operated
- "Tier One" high level security
- Role-Based Access Control
- Link to multiple accounts 'Wallets'
- Reduces fraud and loss
- Reduction in paper, time, and cost
