Fouad Yacoub: Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
Allegis Technologies was founded by Colonel Fouad Yacoub and rooted on a single premise: a belief that the role and function of available healthcare information technology is greatly under-utilized and that innovative cutting-edge technologies are key to providing worldwide humanitarian services in a cost effective manner. His unique perspective is the nexus of three decades of operational experience in management and industry both here in the US and overseas.
Though initially trained as a pilot, the majority of his military tenure was devoted to preparing for upper Management. As a Commanding Officer in the United States Air Force Reserve, he served as the armed forces equivalent of a typical CEO, accountable for administrative issues fully commensurate with his civil counterparts. His duties included responsibility for staffing, equipping, and training his personnel for world-wide deployment then ensuring that existing infrastructure would support them.
Often, those commitments required direct oversight in embattled areas, and allied him with several charitable organizations dedicated to improving the health and quality of life for the indigenous people of those impoverished regions. There, the first hand experience of encountering wounded and sick children and their families helped crystallize his concept for the Company and convinced him that a focus on portable, efficient, technology was essential for timely relief on a wide scale.
Building upon his previous engineering work in smart-card technology and biometrics, he envisioned a, "connect anywhere" product able to securely identify an individual, gather, test and analyze health information, and provide a financial gateway to distribute and track micro-loans. Entering its sixth year, Allegis Technologies continues its dedication to finding total solutions for critical healthcare needs.
Colonel Yacoub has degrees from the University of California, Los Angeles (BS, Electrical Engineering), Embry-Riddle University (MS Aeronautical Science) and is a graduate of numerous flight training schools and military leadership colleges. An Air Force Pilot and Senior Captain at a major airline, he's logged nearly 20,000 hours in numerous types of aircraft. Fluent in multiple languages, he also served as the lead negotiator for the United States Air Force in contract talks with overseas governments for multi-million dollar basing proposals.
